120 Mobile Pumps Alerted to Anticipate Rising Sea Water Surface

As many as 120 mobile pumps have been alerted to anticipate rob (tidal wave) from the sea in North Jakarta area which is predicted to occur on January 9-11.

"The governor has made instructions about posts placement in urban villages, sub-districts and cities. By so early detection informed from BMKG is accurate to the public," expressed City Secretary, Saefullah, Thursday (1/9).

Ancol Takes Steps to Anticipate Tidal Wave

Despite there have been no reports of rob, he stated, signs of rising sea levels have been felt when he took a trip from Ancol to Muara Angke.

"When in the vessel, I feel the waves are quite high," he admitted.

Aside that, the city also has prepared generators to support stationer pumps performance to avoid unwanted things. His party also urged citizens to maintain cleanliness in anticipation of a pile of garbage.

Based on the cleanup action results, around 260 cubic meters of garbage were transported from one of flooded locations.

"At one point, I see there are 52 dump trucks to transport," he stated.
